Hope Cove is a pleasant little fishing village which has been a popular holiday destination since the 1950s. The village is split into Outer Hope and Inner Hope which essentially means that you get two beaches for the price of one! Sheltered by the headland of Bolt Tail (from which on a clear day you can see right down to the coast of Cornwall), the beaches are great for the whole family whether you simply want a paddle or intend to be fully immersed in water sports.
The South West Coast Path runs right through the village, and is fantastic for walks to nearby South Milton Sands and Thurlestone, or if you head in the other direction past Bolberry Down, you can reach the dog friendly beach at Soar Mill Cove.
Hope Cove is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a couple of cafes, shops and a large pub. Its a short drive to Kingsbridge which has a high street, supermarkets, restaurants and a small cinema, or you might prefer to go to the bustling sailing hub of nearby Salcombe.
This relaxed seaside village is a great place to unwind, and is the perfect base for walks along the cliff path, paddling on the beach or simply enjoying the sea view with an ice cream.
Camac is a lovely beachside holiday cottage, just a few steps from two golden sandy beaches where lazy summer days can be idled away digging sand castles, indulging in serious cream teas, paddling in the rock pools but close enough to nip back ‘home’ to cool off and have a sand-free lunch in the garden.
